In a seller’s market, our journey to purchasing our second home was a tough one. We are glad we had Barbara to help guide us through the process and we highly recommend Barbara and her team.

When we started our search, we met with many agents. One of them was Barbara. Something stood out with her, as it felt like she would be a partner in our purchase. One striking key element after meeting her is that she provided us with information we asked for right away. Many other agents said they would keep in touch with us regarding houses and they just did not ending up doing it or had to be reminded. A small simple gesture on Barbara’s part, but from that we knew that we could start building our working relationship with her and that she would be someone we could rely on. What does it take to be an amazing real estate agent?

Patience? Yes. Knowledge of the city? Absolutely. The capacity to give solid and truthful advice? You bet. Credibility? No question. And Carole Evans has it all – in spades. However, what Carole offers that goes beyond her personal and professional five-star service is her network.

We finalised the purchase of our new house after 11 PM on a Friday night, and the closing date was three weeks later. Daunting, to say the least, given the amount of work that needs to be done to close a house.

Carole lined up all the services we needed to get the ball rolling (inspector, lawyer, bank, etc.), and by noon the next day (a Saturday, no less), these professionals had all confirmed appointments with us in the coming days.

Although it was not our first house purchase, Carole and her network were there with us all the way, guiding and counselling us so that we didn’t miss any step. And we did finally close our house 3 weeks later.

Now, if that’s not a top-notch realtor who has access to a responsive and solid network of experts, we don’t know what is!

We used Carole and her team for moving from the UK and would highly recommend them to anybody moving to Ottawa.
